Commentary of the Occupying Power on the visit

The Israeli Ministry of Intelligence said that the members of the delegation who participated in the visit had met during their visit with Abdel Fattah Burhan, Chairman of the Sudanese Sovereignty Council, and Minister of Defense Yassin Ibrahim, and the ministry issued a statement saying that “the Sudanese authorities have informed the Israeli delegation of the progress on the abolition of the boycott law of Israel, and amending the law of imprisoning Sudanese immigrants, who travel to Israel, and those who return to Sudan. “

The Sudanese government did not comment on the Israeli media news or the statement issued by the Israeli Minister of Intelligence and completely ignored the news of the visit.

The government of Sudan had received a delegation from the Israeli occupation state last November, to coordinate relations between the two countries, and  arranging for the signing of the normalization agreement after the Emirates, Bahrain and Morocco, despite several demonstrations by the Sudanese people who reject the agreement.

Imminent Agreement in Washington

According to Hebrew and Arab media outlets, the Israeli occupation state announced last Wednesday that it would complete a normalized diplomatic agreement between the two countries at a signing ceremony in Washington, under the auspices of the White House, within three months from now at the most.

Commenting on this statement; the Sudanese government said that the normalization agreement could not become effective until after the transitional legislative council approves it, which has not been formed yet.

Sudanese-Israeli hostility

In 1967, Sudan hosted the three “No” conference against normalization with the Israeli occupation state, when the Arab League, in its meeting in Khartoum, swore that “there is no peace with the Israeli occupation state, no recognition of Israel, and no negotiations with it.”

In 1948 and 1967, Sudan fought a war against the Israeli occupation, and it was one of the first countries to support the rejection of the occupation, but with tthe Transitional Sovereignty Council taking over which enabled it to take over, the political dynamics in Sudan changed, as Sudan’s generals supported the normalization of relations with the Israeli occupation state, claiming that this is the only way to lift the US sanctions on their country, and to open the door for foreign economic aid to Khartoum, which is in dire need for it, as they put it.
